Clear Lake
Clear Lake is located approximately 18 miles to the east of downtown Houston on the Galveston Freeway (I45). It is home of the Johnson Space Center also known as the Manned Spacecraft Center. The Space Center was started in 1961 and was the control center for the Lunar landing eight years later. Today it remains the Mission Control Center for Manned Space flight and research.
Clear Lake City is also a neighborhood of Houston, TX and is in Harris County.
